Media Study Audio Archive

Needs Analysis and description of target users

The Media Study Audio Archive will be a Flash application accessible from the Department of Media Study website that will allow users to listen to audio recordings of course lectures and guest speakers. Audio clips will be between 10 and 60 minutes long and will be streaming.

The purposes of this service will be to provide a public media arts resource and to increase the visibility of the department.

The core audience for this service will be students, scholars and professionals actively involved in the study of media, although it will also be available to the general public.

To start with there will be 10 audio clips as listed below. The number of audio clips will grow over time and may eventually include one hundred or more clips.
